On Saturday 22nd we supported the council’s Street Fair by throwing our own party at the Pavilions. For one day only we invited shoppers to come and see a small selection of pop-up shops, including an independent publisher (Pen Works Media), a healthy milkshake company (Shake Shebang), and the incredible fortune teller, Layla, whose readings were so phenomenal that her table was never empty.
Providing a suitably festive ambiance was up-and-coming artist Rozen Child, who treated shoppers to over an hour’s worth of acoustic music. Those who stopped to listen were regularly invited to throw words at him, which he used to make original songs on the spot, much to the delight of the audience.
As a centre who cares about community, we donated 20% of all money made through the pop-ups to the aid of Grenfell Tower, and we’d like to thank everybody for coming together in what was a wonderfully positive day.
If you haven’t already entered, you can win 3 months free parking at the Pavilions, which is worth up to £500. Simply visit our competition page before midnight on 31st July to enter our free draw.
