Alternative Valentines Day Plans - women enjoying palentines

February 14th is the day of love. But if you fancy something different this year, here are some alternative ways to spend Valentines Day! If you don’t have a partner, or just want to share the love, there’s lots of ways to celebrate this year.

Let’s give you a helping hand.

Give Galentine’s a go

Got love for your girls? Take the opportunity to show them. Grab cards for your girl gang – pssst, pop one in the centre and grab one from Card Factory… they have some awesome picks, then pick a suitably fun place to visit at lunch or grab drinks after work. Cheers to that.

Make it a pawsome day

We all adore our pets, and they can really impact our happiness! It’s actually national Love Your Pet Day on February 20, so why not treat them to an extra long walk or a brand new toy? Cat, rabbit, hamster… they’re all included too!

Put your hands up for palentine’s

Like Galantine’s, this one’s all about celebrating the friends in your life, not just the gals. Make it special by hosting a special dinner party, with appropriate cards instead of place mats and show your mates how much you care. Not got time to cook? Get everyone to bring a dish and get sharing! Make sure to stop off at Sainsburys for your Valentines Day get together!

Be kind

February 17th celebrates Random Acts of Kindness Day, so why not bring this forward and use Valentine’s Day to spread the love and kindness. This can be anything from helping to pack someone’s shopping, buying them a cup of coffee or volunteering in a Food Bank. Whatever you choose, you’ll he helping to make someone smile.
