Doing Your Bit for Recycle Week

Recycle Week was created so that the government, corporations, and the public can work towards recycling things as much as possible. Waste management is a serious concern, and recycling goods is one of the best ways we can ensure a sustainable future for ourselves and future generations. So, with the science bit out the way, let’s start on how you can help.

Donate, donate

One man’s trash is another’s treasure as the saying goes, so take heed and think about giving your home a September clean. Pack up clothes, electronics that have been gathering dust and books and pop them down to one of our charity shops in the centre. While you’re there, why not have a browse and see what treasures you can find.

Plastics be gone

Plastic waste makes up a huge percentage in our oceans with these materials not being disposed of properly. Make a small dent here. Pop into the centre and pick up a reusable water bottle and coffee cup. Then make sure you always have them with you. Pst: Look out for our refillable water stations in the centre ready to top up your bottle!

Bin it properly

Putting your waste in one bin may seems like a simple option, but this Recycle Week why not start new habits? Pop into the centre and buy a bin that easily lets you separate waste into different compartments. And don’t forget to bin your rubbish in the correct bins that we provide when you’re out and about here.
